AG Access Architecture
2.4 AG Board Configuration
(Page 5 of 11 in this chapter)
- Before using the AG Access library, all AG boards in the host computer must first
be initialized. As discussed in the AG Access Installation Guide, the agmon utility
program reads a configuration file and initializes each board identified therein. In
general, the configuration file contains the following information for each board
residing in the host:
- Each AG board is identified with a Board directive. The board directive defines an
ID which is used by the application whenever it opens a port. For example, if the
configuration file specifies Board 0 as an AG-8 at address 0x2c0, the application
specifies board ID 0 when it opens a port on the AG-8.
- For more information on configuring AG boards, refer to the AG Access
Installation Guide for your specific operating system.
