AG Access Architecture
2.6 MVIP Streams
(Page 7 of 11 in this chapter)
- Data is routed between the DSP and line interface via MVIP streams. As
discussed in Section 7.3, Opening Ports, the MVIP mode instructs AG Access to
map multiple timeslots to a single port.
- The data is routed from the line interface into the port's DSP in one of two ways:
the route is either nailed-up by agmon, or the route is established by a switching
package.
- Certain boards with MVIP interfaces do not contain a switching element (refer to
the Hardware Reference Manual for your particular board for switching
information). For such boards, for example the AG-60 and AG-24, the stream
connections must be configured by agmon.
