8.9 Playing WAVE Files

Name: playwave

Purpose: Demonstrates playing of WAVE format (.wav) voice files.

Usage: playwave [options] <filename>

where opts are:

Description

-b n

Specifies the AG board number <n>. Default=0.

-s n:m

Specifies the MVIP stream and timeslot for the first channel. Default = 0:0.

Description:

Opens a .wav file, finds the WAVE header, and determines the corresponding AG Access encoding to use. This demo then plays the file.

Procedure:

Ensure that you specify the proper AG board and MVIP stream, and start agmon. Execute the playwave demo and specify the file.

Note:

The .wav file must contain a WAVE block and nothing else.
