2.5 About MVIP Timeslots
- Voice and signaling data is transferred between the DSP and the line interface using MVIP timeslots. The MVIP mode argument to adiOpenPort assigns one or more timeslots to a single port.
- Connecting the line interface to the MVIP timeslots can be in one of two ways: it is either nailed up by agmon at board initialization, or established by a switching software package such as SwitchPath.
- Certain boards with MVIP interfaces do not contain a switching element. For example, the stream connections for boards such as the AG-60 and AG-24 must be configured by agmon. Refer to the documentation for your particular board for switching information.
