2.9 About Errors and Error Codes

All AG Access functions return either SUCCESS (0) or an error code. AG Access error codes are defined in the include file adidef.h and are prefixed with ADIERR_ or CTAERR_. For a complete listing of all AG Access error codes, and their descriptions, refer to the AG Access Function Reference Manual.

Asynchronous functions return SUCCESS when the input arguments and port state are valid and the command has been sent to the AG board. SUCCESS, in this case, means the operation was initiated. A DONE event will be generated when the operation completes. If an asynchronous function fails on the AG board, AG Access delivers a DONE event to the application and the event value field contains an error code.
