3.1 Introduction

This chapter provides instructions for installing the MC1 board software under Windows NT 3.51, OS/2 Warp, SCO UNIX SVR3.2 OpenServer Release 3.0 and 5, and UnixWare 2.1. To install the software, follow the procedure for your operating system. This chapter also describes how to change your configuration after installation, and how to remove the driver software from Windows NT, SCO OpenServer, and UnixWare 2.1 systems.
The installation program will ask you for the base I/O address(es) of the MC1 board(s) you have installed. For more information on setting the I/O addresses, see Chapter 2. Note: Some MC1 files are located in different locations than in previous releases of the MC1 development kit. See files.mc1 for a list of installed files and their locations. Files.mc1 is located in the \nms\mc1\doc directory in OS/2 and in the /opt/nms/mc1/doc directory in UNIX.
