4.3 Verifying That Your Board Is Working Correctly

To verify that the carrier signal is working properly, you can use one of the NMS line monitoring utilities:

These utilities have similar displays and command-line options. They are installed with the CT Access and AG Access software, and can be found in one of the following directories:

See Appendix B for complete documentation of these utilities.

To verify the carrier signal using t1stat or e1stat:

  1. Begin a new command session.

  2. Start up the monitoring program by entering:

  1. Now connect the board's receive channels to its transmit channels, as described in section 2.10.
