Appendix B: t1stat and e1stat

This appendix describes the t1stat and e1stat utilities provided with CT Access and AG Access software.

t1stat and e1stat are utilities that let you monitor the status of a trunk, including alarm states, errored and failed seconds, bit error rate violations, framing slips and framer synchronization states. t1stat is for T1 trunks. e1stat is for E1 trunks.

These utilities have almost identical displays and command-line options. They are installed with the CT Access and AG Access software, and can be found in one of the following directories:

Usage

To run either of these utilities, enter:

t1stat [options]

or

e1stat [options]

...where options is one or more of the following command-line options:

Options are case sensitive, but option arguments are not. You can include white space between an option letter and its argument.

If you have multiple AG-T1 or AG-E1 boards in your system, you will need to run one instance of t1stat or e1stat for each board to monitor changes. To direct an instance of the utility to connect with a board other than board 0, use the -b option.

Display

When t1stat runs, it displays a screen like the following:

e1stat has a similar display.
