4.1 Introduction

Once you have installed your hardware and software and have rebooted your system, verify that the system is operational before you continue. To do so, exercise your board's functions using the SW Utility. This chapter describes how to test your system using this utility.
The SW utility is installed with your driver software. Under UNIX, the SW Utility can be found in /opt/nms/bin. Under Windows NT and OS/2, the utility can be found in \NMS\BIN. Note: If you have not already done so, you should add the name of the directory containing the SW Utility to your path.
