Appendix C

Removing the Software


Introduction

This chapter lists procedures for removing the AG Connect software under the following operating systems:

Windows NT Software Removal

To remove AG Connect software from a Windows NT system:

  1. Click Start. Select Settings, and then Control Panel.

    The Control Panel Folder appears.

  2. Double-click on Add/Remove Programs.

    The Add/Remove Programs dialog box appears.

  3. In the list of packages in the dialog box, select AG Connect.

    To remove all Natural Access products at once, select Natural Microsystems Natural Access.

  4. Click Remove.

    The software is removed from the system.

UnixWare Software Removal

To remove AG Connect software from a UnixWare system:

  1. Access a command prompt, and log in as root.

  2. Direct the pkgrm utility to remove the agcx package. To do so, enter:

    pkgrm agcx

    pkgrm removes the package. The following message appears:

    Rebuild the kernel now? (y/n)

  3. Enter y.

    The kernel build proceeds. The following message appears:

    Do you want this kernel to boot by default? (y/n)

  4. Enter y.

    The following message appears:

    Do you want the kernel environment rebuilt? (y/n)

  5. Enter y.

    pkgrm completes its tasks, and terminates.

  6. When pkgrm terminates, shut down your system, and reboot.

Solaris Software Removal

To remove AG Connect software from a Solaris system:

  1. Access a command prompt, and log in as root.

  2. Direct the pkgrm utility to remove the agcx package. To do so, enter:

    pkgrm agcx

    pkgrm removes the package.
