2.1 Introduction
- This chapter lists procedures for installing the AG Access software under Windows NT, OS/2, UnixWare 2.1, SCO OpenServer 5 and Solaris 2.5. To install the software, follow the procedure for your operating system.
2.1.1 System Requirements
- Before installing the software make sure your system has the following hardware and software components:
- At least one Alliance Generation board (such as an AG-8, AG-24+,
AG-30, AG-60, AG-T1, or AG-E1) installed in a 16-bit slot;
- Enough speed to process at least eight lines (typical motherboards include
486 machines; Pentiums, etc.);
- An uninterruptable power supply (UPS). Although a UPS is not strictly
required for most configurations, it is necessary for DID trunks and is
strongly recommended for all other applications. (Note that it need not
power the monitor.)
