3.2 Performing Text-to-Speech Conversion

The following functions start, stop, pause, and resume text-to-speech conversion:

Function

Description

ttsSpeak

Initiates text-to-speech processing using data from a single memory-resident buffer.

ttsStop

Stops speech immediately and flushes any buffered text.

ttsPause

Pauses speech, but does not flush buffered text.

ttsResume

Resumes speech previously paused by a call to ttsPause.
