4.2 Verifying the Installation

To verify your installation, run the isdndemo demonstration program supplied with your AG ISDN software.

To run isdndemo:

  1. Create an AG configuration file specific to your installation, as described in Chapter 3.

  2. Invoke agmon to initialize your AG boards.

To run agmon on Windows NT, open a command window and enter:

    To run agmon on UNIX:

    1. Log in as root (or become the super-user).

    2. On a graphical user interface, start a terminal session (shell prompt).

    3. Enter: agmon

Note: agmon should be left running at all times so errors will be captured.

  3. Change to the directory containing isdndemo:

    - Windows NT: \nms\ctaccess\demos\isdndemo\

    - UNIX: opt/nms/ctaccess/demos/isdndemo/

  4. Run isdndemo. To do so, enter:

    isdndemo -p nn

...where nn is the protocol variant to run. Use 23 for USA (AT&T 5ESS10), 11 for Europe (EuroISDN), 9 for Asia (INS-1500 NTT), or 16 for QSIG.

isdndemo should respond with a message like the following:

       Protocol = AT&T 5E10

       24 ports opened.
NOCC protocol started on 23 ports.
       Started 23 threads...
       Enter program test loop...
