ppxSubmit

Description

Submit a series of connection calls.

Prototype

DWORD ppxSubmit ( CTAHD ctahd )
ctahd CTA context handle returned by ctaCreateContext.

Return Values

SUCCESS
CTAERR_OUT_OF_MEMORYUnable to allocate memory.
PPXERR_COMM_FAILUREProblems were encountered when communicating with the PPX server.
PPXERR_INVALID_COMMANDA ppxBegin command was not active.

PPXEVN_SUBMIT_COMPLETE

Details

This function submits a series of switching commands which are preceded with ppxBegin.
When ppxSubmit is called, the Point-to-Point Switching service determines if each operation is valid and that there are valid paths for all connections.
After verifying the commands and paths, the Point-to-Point Switching service calls the functions to perform the operations. If an error occurs when making the connections, the system is returned to its state before ppxBegin was called.
The value field of PPXEVN_SUBMIT_COMPLETE contains either SUCCESS or the first non-SUCCESS response issued by the commands included in the ppxBegin/ppxSubmit block.
Only one begin/submit transaction can be active on a given CTA context.
