MVIPslot

Syntax

MVIPslot = stream: timeslot[..endslot][,idlecode]

Description

Specifies a timeslot or range of MVIP timeslots (according to the
MVIP-90 switch model) driven by the AG-24/30/48/60 board's DSP resources. It optionally specifies the bit pattern transmitted on the MVIP timeslot(s) when idle. Because it uses the MVIP-90 switch model, each specified MVIP-90 stream implies a full duplex communication path on the MVIP bus.

Each MVIP timeslot can be driven by only one board. Therefore, this statement must not be in the Common section. If used, it must be included in each board-specific section with different values for each AG board.

This statement is not typically used for AG-8, AG-T1, or AG-E1 boards. However, it can be used to configure these boards as MVIP resource boards. In this case, the line interface(s) will not be connected.

The idle code, if included, must be specified with no space to the left of the comma. If an idle code is not specified here, then the IdleCode statement that applies to the current board is used.

Note: The MVIPslot or MVIP95slot statement is required for configurations with AG-24/30/48/60 boards. In these configurations, you must nail up DSP resources on the board to the MVIP bus with in MVIP-90 or MVIP-95 terms (depending on the keyword). For more information about this process, refer to the AG-24/30/48/64 Installation and Developer's Manual.

The MVIPslot statement is not valid for boards that only support the MVIP-95 device driver (such as the AG Quad board).

Example

MVIPslot = 6:0..23,0x7F
