ISUPSuspendReq

Description

Sends a SUSPEND message to the far exchange and starts the suspend timer T2.

spInstId Service provider instance ID.

suspEvnt Pointer to the caller's suspend event structure containing all parameters (IEs) to be included in the message to the far exchange.

Return Values

Details

If no RESUME or RELEASE message is received by the ISUP layer before the expiration of the T2 timer, the call is cleared in both directions by the ISUP layer.

The value specified in the SuInstId field will be passed on all subsequent events associated with this connection.

The value for spInstId must be the spInstID value that was received from the ISUP layer in the connect indication event.

4.2 API Event Initialization Routines

This section describes functions for the initialization of event structures in order to generate specific ISUP protocol messages. Each subsection describes the event initialization for a specific protocol message, and contains tables specifying the initialized event fields for each supported switch type. Table entries in boldface are mandatory ISUP parameters.
