TxTpxIfSQCtl

Description

Sets up the source quench control portion of an interface definition packet.

Prototype

short TxTpxIfSQCtl (TXMNGPKT *req,
unsigned long sq_threshold,
unsigned short sq_type,
unsigned long sq_number)

req Pointer to packet to be set.

sq_threshold Source quench buffer limit (default = 51,200 bytes).

sq_type Source quench type (TPXSQ_DISABLED, COUNT, TIMED) (default = TPXSQ_COUNT).

sq_number Source quench associated number (default 20).

Return Values

TX API completion code.

Details

Source quench control is common to all TPX interfaces. Applications are able to control the point at which any source quenching begins as well as the method used for detecting the source quench condition. TxTpxIfSQCtl only effects the source quench control portion of the define interface packet.

Note: TxTpxIfSQCtl assumes that the packet is already a properly initialized define interface packet. Applications should call TxTpxIfDefault some time prior to calling TxTpxIfSQCtl to assure that the packet contains all the proper default values. Source quench control is also not performed independently. The fields set up by TxTpxIfSQCtl are part of a future interface create request to be issued by the application.

Applications should call TxTpxIfSQCtl any time source quench control is to be adjusted for the interface being defined.
