TxVpdReqInit

Description:

This function initializes the TxVpd dual port RAM request packet to the type of request message indicated.

Prototype:

short TxVpdReqInit (TX_HANDLE handle,
TXVPD_DPR_REQ *vpdreq,
unsigned char msgnum );
handle TX_HANDLE returned from TxVpdOpen.
vpdreq TxVpd dual port RAM request packet to be initialized.
msgnum Message number (TXVPD_DPR_*) (see vpdtype.h)

Details

The following fields are set:

The req.hdr will be fully initialized (with destination communications processor set to that associated with the handle) (dual port RAM packet length determined by msgnum).

The req.msg area will be fully initialized (msgid set to next packet sequence number).

Note: The sequence number is based on a single global for the entire Virtual Port Data Transfer API. There may be skips if TxVpd CPI functions are interspersed. The user-controlled msgkey field is left as-is.
For all requests other than TXVPD_DPR_TX, the req.data area will be zero-filled.
