About This Manual

The DPNSS Service Developer's Reference Manual provides:

This document defines telephony terms where applicable, but assumes that you are familiar with basic telephony concepts. It also assumes that you are familiar with the C programming language.

This software interfaces with DPNSS trunks using BX 3000 boards. For information about installing the DPNSS software, and installing and configuring BX 3000 boards, consult the BX 3000 Installation and Developer's Manual.

Read the CT Access Developer's Reference Manual before using this manual. The CT Access Developer's Reference Manual contains detailed information concerning CT Access constants, architecture, and application development. This information must be fully understood before you develop an application using CT Access.

To implement DPNSS supplementary services, you must also become familiar with the full DPNSS specification. Read BTNR 188 issue 6 (January 95 edition). This manual references this specification when necessary.
