MVIP Compliant Interface

· Switchable access to any of 512 MVIP timeslots

· MVIP clock master or clock slave (automatically selected -- see Section 2.4.1)

· Able to terminate the MVIP bus (jumper selectable)

· Compatible with any MVIP compliant telephony interface

· Can interface with H.100 bus using MVIP bus adapter

LEDs

· Two yellow LEDs on the end bracket indicate whether the AC and DC voltage are connected correctly. For details, see Chapter 4.

· A green LED on the face of the board indicates whether the board is operating correctly. For details, see Chapter 4.

· A red LED on the face of the board lights whenever the local phone on line interface 1 rings. For details, see Chapter 4.

Bus Connectors

PC-AT Bus

Pin-outs and signals of the PC-AT bus follow IEEE P996 ISA specifications.

MVIP Bus

The MVIP bus connector is a shrouded 40-pin 3M 2540-50020B, positioned as specified in Section 3 of the MVIP-90 Standard, Release 1.1 manual. Pin-outs and signals of the MVIP bus follow the specifications given in the manual.

Line Interface

Operator Workstation (local phone) with Ringing

Connector

A high density 62 pin female D-subminiature connector. The adapter cable, with a 62 pin male connector on one end and a male RJ21X on the other, provides for direct connection to local phones and to a power supply. For European installations, this cable is integrated into the power supply.
