oamAddDetectedBoard

Description

Adds a physically detected board to the active configuration.

Prototype

DWORD oamAddDetectedBoard (CTAHD ctahd,
const char *szName)
ctahd [in] Context handle
szName [in] Name of board to add

Return Values

SUCCESS

CTAERR_BAD_ARGUMENT
szName is NULL or 0.
OAMERR_ACCESS_DENIED
Function is not supported by this plug-in.
OAMERR_FILE_WRITE_ERROR
Error writing to database.
OAMERR_NOT_ENOUGH_MEMORY
Memory allocation error.
OAMERR_SERVER_NOT_FOUND
The Natural Access server (ctdaemon) is not available. Occurs if the ctdaemon is not running or if you attempt to use the OAM service in Library mode.
OAMERR_SERVER_NOT_RUNNING
The OAM Supervisor is not available. This error will occur if the OAM Supervisor has not completed its initialization, is shutting down, or has been temporarily suspended using oamShutdown or oamRestart.

Details

This function creates a managed object for a board previously detected using oamDetectBoards. In the NMS OAM database, the specified board name is copied from the array keyword DetectedBoards[x] to the array keyword Boards[x]. For more information, see Section 5.4.3.
