oamStartBoard

Description

Starts one or more boards.

Prototype

DWORD oamStartBoard (CTAHD ctahd,
const char *szName)
ctahd [in] Context handle
szName [in] Name of board to start. Set to NULL to start all boards in parallel.

Return Values

SUCCESS

OAMERR_CANT_CREATE_THREAD
Cannot create thread (to do async operation).
OAMERR_NOT_FOUND
Board szName not found.
OAMERR_SERVER_NOT_FOUND
The Natural Access server (ctdaemon) is not available. Occurs if the ctdaemon is not running or if you attempt to use the OAM service in Library mode.
OAMERR_SERVER_NOT_RUNNING
The OAM Supervisor is not available. This error will occur if the OAM Supervisor has not completed its initialization, is shutting down, or has been temporarily suspended using oamShutdown or oamRestart.

Events

OAMEVN_STARTBOARD_DONE
The function completed successfully. The event value field contains the result of the board starting attempt:
OAM_REASON_FINISHED
The board started successfully.
OAM_REASON_FAILED
The board starting attempt failed. Further information may be available in the OAM_MSG message buffer.

Details

This function starts (boots) the specified board, or all boards in parallel. Because this function can incur delay, it is an asynchronous call that returns immediately and is followed by an alert notification on completion.
