GetCallingName method

This method will return the subscriber’s name for the number that placed an incoming call. Note that the telephone circuit that is connected to your AG hardware must be running a protocol (such as ANI or CLID) that will deliver this information in order for it to be available in ActiveAG. Also note that, in addition, the correct TCP (trunk control protocol) must be running on your AG hardware. See the topic AG hardware initialization.

Arguments: None.

Returns: A BSTR containing the calling subscriber name, if available; otherwise an empty string.

Property interactions: If caller information is provided by Caller ID, the CallerIDEnabled property must be set TRUE to enable ActiveAG to collect this information.
