CleardownEnabled property

When this property is set TRUE, cleardown detection will be enabled. Note that the DTMF.DSP file must have been downloaded to your AG hardware when it was initialized in order for Cleardown detection to work. Since cleardown detection properties only apply when a line is opened, changing them after the line has been opened will have no effect.

Cleardown detection involves detecting a dual (sometimes single) frequency tone that is generated when a call is disconnected (by a PBX for example) without the loss of loop current or when loop current isnt present. In these cases, when a station is off-hook with no call connected, many PBXs will generate a cleardown tone to indicate the lack of a connection. Sometimes a cleardown tone sounds like dial tone or it may sound like a busy or a fast busy tone it depends upon the manufacturer of the equipment that your lines are connected to.

If your application sits behind a PBX, cleardown detection will frequently be the only means it will have of detecting the loss of a connection.
